I went to dinner with a bunch of good friends, some from interstate who I don’t get to see too often. At some point it was decided it’d be fun for some of them to try and sum me up in three words. The words they ended up going with were abrupt, dismissive, and genuine. At least one of them was fucking good.

I hate Christmas. It just reminds me of shit my mother and I didn’t have as a kid. I’ve grown up and can leave a lot of that behind, I just hate being reminded of some of the confusion, shame and sadness I felt around Christmas time due to things that were out of my control.
